Captain Snort runs a military academy for boys located in Pippin Fort. Members of the academy all wear red shirts in the style of the British Empire.

Captain Snort is a soldier man,

Who lives in Pippin Fort

Sergeant Major Grout

Sergeant Major Grout is second in command at Pippin Fort. In each episode he is seen calling the troops to attention.
